The Focus of Chiropractic Care

The goal of Chiropractic care is to optimize the function of the nervous system, by detecting spinal misalignments. The nervous system, consisting of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves, is responsible for controlling and coordinating all bodily functions. By ensuring proper alignment of the spine, chiropractic care plays a crucial role in promoting overall health and often times alleviating pain. This alignment allows for uninterrupted nerve communication throughout the body, facilitating the restoration of well-being.

How Does Chiropractic Work?

Routine activities such as lifting heavy, sitting in traffic, or worrying about a loved one are all stressors that affect our spinal and neurological health. The symptoms will vary depending on what segment is out of alignment, but common ones are headaches/migraines, back pain, sciatica, sleep disturbances, and numbness/tingling in arms and legs.

Adjusting the spine and bringing it back to its proper position takes stress off the muscles as well as the nervous system. The result is reduced inflammation, proper joint biomechanics, and improved range of motion so you can go about your day pain free and giving it your all during your training sessions!

The goal of the chiropractic adjustment is to correct misalignments, which restores range of motion, takes pressure off the musculoskeletal system and brings down inflammation. The right help and guidance will optimize your immediate and long-term health after an accident, and ensure a safe, healthy and fast recovery!

What Kind Of Education Must A Chiropractor Get?

To become a chiropractor, students must complete at least four years of training at a chiropractic institution, which is usually preceded by an undergraduate degree in the fundamental sciences or many years of experience in a prior related healthcare profession.

When learning the appropriate diagnosis and treatment techniques to help heal your body and restore it to optimal functionality, students of chiropractic care must spend a minimum of 4,200 hours with their teacher and a minimum of 1,000 hours in fully supervised clinical training with an instructor.

At UTC Chiropractic, our chiropractic staff is available to meet with you and discuss your requirements in further detail. We will work with you to create a program that is tailored to your needs. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
